Black community leaders who carry the weight of the world on their backs find comfort, safety, and solace in the care of culturally-sensitive practitioners at Wellness Paradigm, a Black-owned business in south Minneapolis. Kinshasha Kambui is a Black bodyworker and healer who opened the wellness center in February. FDA approves life-saving Narcan for use without prescription
Almost 7,000 opioid overdose deaths occurred in California in 2021, with San Bernardino and Riverside Counties recording the highest number, according to Black Voice News. In response to reports of fentanyl overdose deaths across the country, the FDA recently approved an over-the-counter nasal spray containing naloxone to help more people in need access the life-saving medication. Naloxone is a medication that quickly reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, according to the FDA. Tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants could qualify for MinnesotaCare under proposed bill
The Minnesota legislature is currently considering a bill that could provide health insurance to nearly 80,000 undocumented residents in the state, reports Sahan Journal.
